We all have our “playgrounds”. A past of childhood games in lumber and coal yards has turned to "adult" photo hunting mornings in boatyards .
In addition to abstractions of random yard items, this collection includes two ongoing projects. The series “Hulls on Wheels”, captures images of tires, fenders and waterlines of trailered vessels. A second series, “Hullscapes”, takes advantage of the beauty revealed below waterlines of stored vessels. Many of these scraped, chipped and crusted images appear as landscape-like scenes, while others recall abstract impressionist painting.
