elements of architecture
Form and pattern structure the art of our built world from the simplest rough stones and timber to polished glass and steel. Per Vitruvius, the essential qualities of architecture were firmness, commodity and delight. From my perspective, the detailed shaping of parts and pieces with style and proportion imparts design character. This collection emphasizes form and pattern, as it is those elements which establish rhythm to the “frozen music” that is architecture.
